Preston University fraud: A propaganda Preston University, a widely recognized name in the field of education, has faced a number of allegations of frauds and scams. The university has been a target of these accusations since the year 2008. Like all renowned institutions, its competitors have targeted the university with claims of frauds such as calling it a degree mill. These competitors have made use of the fact that the university has gained no accreditation from any US education bodies and therefore, its degrees are not recognized by some corporations and countries. Preston University has been charged with these fraud claims for its inability of gaining accreditation and as a result, the stakeholders of the university have faced strong opposition in the job market as well.
Preston University fraud was launched against the university over cyber space and it was done to underrate a prestigious institution. Many websites started processing irrelevant information to start off this propaganda against the university. These websites posted false data regarding the university stating that the main reason for moving operations to Alabama was to benefit from the relaxed regulations in the state. Furthermore, they also accused the University of providing fake degrees to professionals in order to raise revenue. However, the chancellor of the university has refused such claims and the university has never denied the fact that it has not received accreditations from the US department of education. The university has also stated that its degree may not be accepted by some organizations because it does not have any accreditations. However, many governments, both local and state have accepted degrees awarded by Preston University. The university has stated that it has an authority to issue degrees as authorized by the state of Alabama. Furthermore, the university has also stated that the university campuses are continuously inspected by evaluators of the state and therefore, the claims of fraud are irrelevant and false.
Initially, these claims of fraud over cyber space were accepted by the people and this highly affected the reputation of Preston University. However, an increase in such websites was met with suspicion from the masses regarding the relevance of these and therefore, it was revealed that this was done as a propaganda against Preston University. Preston University has taken several steps to refute all such claims of fraud made against it. The association of the university has been helped by hundreds of students from all over the world who have tried to make everyone aware of the good quality of education provided by the institution.
